Pioneering Sustainable Solutions in Biomass Management, Research & Development, and Environmental Innovation

Collaborate with IHI Corporation, Japan International Research Centre for Agricultural Science, and University of Science Malaysia in development of oil palm trunk (OPT) biomass products, including oil palm sap treatment and biogas production, biogas utilisation for electricity generation, OPT pellet production system.

Collaborate with IHI Corporation to participate in Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS) Project of Sustainable Replantation of Oil Palm by Adding value to Oil Palm Trunk through Scientific and Technological Innovation.

Upgraded an EFB Pellet Plant in Sarawak using the Kluang Pilot Plant operation method, improving processing flow and products quality in 2021. Following this upgrade, starting on April 2023, a new plant with a yearly capacity of 20,000 tons is currently under construction and is scheduled to begin operations end of 2024. The new plant will have the capability to process various types of fiber to produce high-quality pellets.

State-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility, which enables us to recover minerals such as potassium and reuse water for in-house operations. This innovative approach minimizes wastewater discharge, making our operations more sustainable and environmentally responsible. While the recovered mineral can be used for other applications such as fertiliser.

Involved with extraction of EFB residual oils and sent to Japan for further research and development for value-added production synthesis, such as bioplastic and bio-jet fuel.

Extracted and characterized sugars from OPT sap, which can be used for various purposes such as biofuel, biogas, and Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA).

Capable to conduct in-house analytical testing, including HPLC, COD, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, fiber length, ash content, and pellet density. By performing these tests in-house, we able to ensure the accuracy and consistency of its results while maintaining strict quality control standards.

Collaboration with an agricultural company to conduct research and development on mushroom cultivation using oil palm trunk biomass.

Engaged in a research and development project with an agricultural company to explore the use of oil palm trunk biomass and empty fruit bunch fiber for soil conditioning and soil-less cultivation.

Engaged in research and development using oil palm trunk biomass for animal feed production for cow, chicken, and fish.

Involved in developing wood substitutes for a wide range of applications, including lumber, plywood, furniture components, cross-laminated lumber (CLT), laminated veneer lumber (LVL), flooring panels, particle board, and medium and high-density fiberboard (MDF/HDF).

Pulp products production from oil palm trunk (OPT) and empty fruit bunch (EFB).

Biochar production from oil palm trunk (OPT) and empty fruit bunch (EFB)

Note: Can be further processed into Activated Carbon
